Leaders for a New Generation

Cammie was a tall, awkward 10-year-old girl who loved art, sports and church. She struggled with shyness and a learning disability, and often felt out of place and unsuccessful at school. Cammie attended Young Disciples camp at Barbee, and came home a transformed individual. [Read Cammie's story]

This story is repeated, with different names and faces, countless times in the camps of the Christian Church in Indiana. It is a wonderful example of the coming together of staff, clergy, congregational volunteers and young people through the leadership of the Region. This is just one way that the Christian Church in Indiana works to fulfill its mission:

• to energize and connect congregations to proclaim the gospel and make disciples of Jesus Christ.

Supporting this year’s Annual Fund will mean that campers like Cammie can continue to experience the transforming love of God, and return home eager to become a more involved part of the Body of Christ.
